第一歩な生き方発見!?
休息中の人力車↑（2011年1月21日、ホイアン、ベトナム） 今日は、2011年5月6日のブログの続きです。 私は、自分が好きなことは実行することにしています。 問題は、自分が好きなことが何かなかなか分からないことです。 心の安らぎを得る鍵、幸せになる鍵は、「自分の心が引きつけられること」、「心が喜ぶこと」だと思っています。 問題は、それが何かわからないということです。 自分自身のことなのに、心が引きつけられるものが何なのかわからない、こころが喜ぶものが何なのかわからない。 鈍感にしていて気付かないのかもしれません。 あるいは、まだ、そういうものに出会っていないのかも知れません。 私の解決策は、「実行する」ことです。 何かに出会った時、やってもしょうがないとは思わないようにしています。 食わず嫌いにならず、いろいろ試みてみることにしています。 実行すれば、少なくともどこかに向かって進みます。 自分の気付かなかった自分に出会えることを期待したいと思います。 先ずは、第一歩。【Bon app?tit !】 抗生物質を使い過ぎる小児科医 It is widely known that antibiotic overuse promotes the emergence of resistant bacteria, yet many pediatricians still prescribe antibiotics unnecessarily to asthmatic patients. ラオスかと思ったカンボジアの伝統芸能
カンボジアの楽器↑（2010年４月26日、シェムリアップ、カンボジア） 今は、2010年4月26日、カンボジアに来ています。 レストランで、伝統芸能を見ています。 ラオスの伝統芸能は何度も見ていますが、カンボジアは初めてです。 音楽に合わせて踊っていますが、ラオスでも馴染みのある楽器が使われています。 やはり、カンボジアとラオスは隣国同士で文化も共通ということでしょうか。 木琴のような楽器や、小さなシンバルのようなものをたくさん並べたドラム。 手の指を去らせた独特の踊りもラオスと共通です。 専門家の目から見れば全然違う踊りなのかもしれませんが、素人の自分が見ると同じように感じます。【Bon app?tit !】 睡眠障害 Sleep is a period of rest for both the body and mind, the lack of which can result in changes to personality, perceptual processes, and intellectual functioning. 相手のエネルギーと自分のエネルギーをぶつけ合う !!
水を掛け合う水かけ祭り↑（2007年4月14日、ヴィエンチャン、ラオス） 自分は社会人になるまでは、あまりコミュニケーションをしていなかったように思います。 というか、社会人になるまでは、コミュニケーションなしで成り立つ社会の中で生きて来たような気がします。 社会に出てからも、何となく人と交わり、その場の雰囲気に会うような発言をしているだけでした。 自分が本当に考えていることを発言するのではなく、相手が自分に期待していることを発言していただけでした。 これでは周りの人と感情を分かち合うことはできません。 一番欠けていたのは、自己主張だと気付きました。 自己主張して、お互いを刺激し合う。 自己主張して、意見が対立しても、お互いの感情を分かち合う。 相手のエネルギーと自分のエネルギーをぶつけ合い交換し合い、お互いにとって良い状況を作り出す。 なんだ、コミュニケーションすれば、自己実現できるんだ。 そうすることによって、世の中に打って出ることも、何かを仕掛けることもできるような気がします。 皆さんはどう思われますか？【Bon app?tit !】 Preparing for a Zombie Apocalypse In case of a zombie apocalypse, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has posted an emergency preparedness plan on its website. 期待通りに生きていていいのですか？
移動観覧車↑（2007年10月21日、ビエンチャン、ラオス） 自分の若い頃のことを考えると、自分のありのままを出さずに、自分に期待される役割に自分を合わせてきたような気がします。 皆さんはどうでしょうか？ ある時、ふと気がつきました。 周囲の期待に応えている自分は、いったい誰？なんだろうかと。 常識や社会的に望ましいとされる価値に自分の行動規範を置いていては、自分の使命が果たせないと気付きました。 この世に生を受けた理由の一つは、自分を発見して、自分にしかできない使命を果たすことです。 自分は、他人ではないし、世間でもありません。 生きる喜び、幸せ、自分にしかできない使命を果たすことのためには、自分の期待に自分が応えることが大切だと思っています。 そのための鍵は、「自分が好きなこと」です。 人に分かってもらおうと期待するのではなく、自分の真実に忠実に生きたいと思います。 皆さんはどう思われますか？【Bon app?tit !】 耳鳴り Affecting as many as 40 million adults in the US, tinnitus is a ringing, roaring, or hissing sound in one or both ears without an external cause. アユタヤで記念撮影、ハンディクーラー
夜の記念撮影↑（2010年9月6日、アユタヤ、タイ） 今は、2010年9月6日。 タイは、バンコクの北76kmの所にあるアユタヤに来ています。 アユタヤは、古都。 1767年にビルマ軍の攻撃で破壊されるまでの417年間、南アジア最大の交易地として栄えたアユタヤ王朝の首都でした。 ビルマ軍の破壊があまりにもすごかったので、この後、都はバンコクに遷ります。 17世紀には、山田長政で有名な日本人町があり、1000～1500人の日本人が生活をしていました。 水の都で、四方を川に囲まれた島状の街です。 東西7km、南北4kmあります。 夜、時間を見つけて、遺跡を見て回りました。 遺跡を見ていると、ビルマ軍の侵攻により徹底的に破壊されたアユタヤの街が感じられます。 夜の遺跡は、ライトアップされています。 王宮寺院のワット・プラ・シーサンペットの前で、記念撮影をしました。 写真に写っている人の国籍は、タイ、ラオス、カンボジア、インドネシア、シンガポール、ブルネイ、日本となっています。【Bon app?tit !】 アユタヤ Founded around 1350, Ayutthaya became the second capital of Siam after Sukhothai. Many international merchants set sail for Ayutthaya, from diverse regions as the Arab world, China, India, Japan, Portugal, the Netherlands and France. Dutch and French maps of the city show grandeur with gold-laden palaces, large ceremonies and a huge float of trading vessels from all over the world. 後世に残すもの
バイヨン↑（2010年4月29日、アンコール・トム、カンボジア） 今から6年前の年の4月6日に、「自分が後世に残すものについて考えてみよう」というメッセージを自分宛てに書きました。 すっかり忘れていましたが、今日、そのメッセージを目にしました。 考えてみようと言うメッセージ自体を忘れていましたので、全く考えていません。 皆さんは、自分が後世に残すものについて考えたことがありますか? 「原発の安全神話！」なんて言う人もいたかもしれませんね。 芸人さんなら、「後世に芸人としての足跡を残したい！」と言うかもしれませんね。 芸術家なら、自分の作品を後世に残すことができますね。 芸能人や、経営者、学者なども、後世に渡ってその名を語り継がれるでしょう。 多くの人に認められていないごく一般の人は何を後世に残すことができるのでしょう。 私自身、答えはまだありません。 自分の生き方や想いでのようなものでもいいから、「後世に何かを残したい！」と言う気持ちを持って毎日を過ごしたいと思います。 皆さんはどう思われますか？【Bon app?tit !】 タイという国名への変更は1949年5月11日 Thailand's origin is traditionally tied to the short-lived kingdom of Sukhothai founded in 1238. アンコール・ワットがタイにあった !?
ピーマイの遺跡↑（2010年1月28日、ピーマイ、タイ） 今は、2010年1月28日。 タイ東北部の入り口ナコーンラチャシマにいます。 今日は、ここから北東約60kmのところにあるピーマイと言う街に行きます。 なんと、ピーマイには、アンコール・ワット（？）がありました。 10世紀から11世紀にかけてこの辺りを支配していたクメール王朝の遺跡です。 規模は、アンコールワットには遠く及びませんが、とても奇麗な遺跡です。 使われている石も、普通の砂岩、赤い砂岩、赤い土などが使われています。 アンコールワットの遺跡は12世紀のものですが、それ以前のクメール王朝の遺跡は、タイやラオスでも見ることができます。【Bon app?tit !】 Phimai Stone Sanctuary The Phimai Stone Sanctuary is located in Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima (Khorat) Prov ince. This Khmer style sanctuary is considered the largest Buddhist monument in Thailand. In the center of the Phimai Sanctuary stands a large Prang which is made of white lime stone and sandstone. The prang itself is built on a rectangular base which has re-entrant angles at the corners. The building has been extended to the south. 偶然の一致は計画されたものだった !!
レストランで同席したラオス人女性↑（2007年8月21日、ヴィエンチャン） 先日、タイはバンコクの街を歩いていた時に、ラオスで懇意にしていたナイジェリア人のことを考えていました。 彼がナイジェリアに戻ってからメールも通じなくなり、今頃どこにいるのかなぁ、元気かなぁと考えていました。 歩道の向こうから、一人の人が自分に向かって走ってきました。 なんと、その人はそのナイジェリア人でした。 不思議な偶然でしょうか？ 私は、いつの間にか、電車で隣に座った見知らぬ人、レストランで同じテーブルになった人等は、何か自分と関係があるのではないかと思うようになっていました。 おそらく、偶然の一致と思うものが、後になってみると意味があったというようなことが何回も起こっているから、自然とそういう考えになったのかもしれません。 会いたいと思っていた人と偶然道で出会ったり、必要としているものをもらったり、お世話になった人が以前会ったことのある人だったり等々。 私は、全く関係がないようなものが一致する「意味のある偶然の一致」を信じています。 世の中のもの全ては繋がっていて互いに連動していると思います。 全て身の回りで起こることは、単なる偶然ではないと思います。 ある人と出会うことは、予め計画されていたのだと思います。 偶然の一致は、だれの身にも頻繁に起きています。 これらの偶然の一致をシンクロニシティと呼ぶそうです。 一人ひとりとの出会いを大切にしたいと切に思う次第です。 皆さんはどう思われますか？【Bon app?tit !】 テレビゲームでリハビリ The results of several studies suggest that video games and virtual reality systems could help stroke victims recover. 道路横断は象に注意 !!
トラックの陰から象↑（2010年1月26日、ナコンラチャシマ、タイ） 2011年5月1日のブログで、街中を歩く象の事を書きました。 今日はその続きです。 道を横切ろうとしたら、ピックアップトラックの陰から突然象が出てきて驚きました。 それほど明るくない道路で、象の体が闇の中に紛れ込んでいて見えにくかったことが原因です。 気をつけないと踏みつぶされてしまいます。 像の頭には、運転手（象使い）が跨って乗っているので、おそらく急ブレーキはかけてくれるものと思います。 運転手が前方不注意でも、足元不注意だけはやめていただきたいと、心から思いました。【Bon app?tit !】 新発見!? 塩分を取った方が健康？ For years, health officials have warned that eating too much sodium can raise blood pressure to unsafe levels and increase the risk of heart attack or stroke, however, the results of a new study seem to suggest that, for some, the opposite may be true. 仏陀パークにて↑（2007年3月24日、ヴィエンチャン、ラオス） 今日は、散らかっている部屋の片づけをしました。 朝から行いましたので、いまになってやっとパソコンに向かっています。 「今日片づけをしよう」と決めたのは昨日です。 明日は、何をしようかな？ 皆さんはもうとっくに決めていることでしょう。 以前、ふと気付いたことがあります。 それは、人生は、自分の心の創造物だということです。 今日の自分は、昨日の自分の想いが決定しました。 同様に、明日以降の自分の行動は今日の想いが決定します。 これが、毎日毎日続きます。 自分が今日あるのは、昨日の想いからです。 同様に、今日の想いが、明日の人生を形作ります。 自分の人生は、結局は、自分の創造物だということです。 皆さんはどう思われますか？【Bon app?tit !】 起きていても眠る脳 Researchers say that if a person is sleep deprived, parts of his brain can fall asleep despite the fact that he remains fully awake at the time. 三輪車の最新トレンドをチェック！
東北タイの三輪車↑（2010年1月26日、ナコンラチャシマ、タイ） アジアに行くと、ミゼットのような車を目にします。 懐かしいやら、まだこのような車が走っているのかと驚かれる方が多いかと思います。 タイやラオスではトゥクトゥクと呼ばれています。 1977年にパキスタンを訪問した時には、リクシャと呼ばれていました。 今もそう呼ばれているのでしょうか ? 先日、東アフリカのタンザニアを訪問した時には、なんとトゥクトゥクと呼ばれていました。 トゥクトゥクという言葉は広範囲に普及しているのでしょう。 トゥクトゥクは三輪車（サムロー）の呼び名で、今もタクシー代わりに庶民の足として活躍しています。 私は、ミゼットと言う名前をすぐに思いだします。 実際、トゥクトゥクは、もとはと言えば、ダイハツミゼットの系譜上にある存在だそうです。 タイでもバンコクとアユタヤ等街ごとに特色があるそうです。また、マツダK360等も走っているとのことです（この辺りのことはうめきんさんのブログに詳しい。） ハンドルが棒形のいわゆるバーハンドルのものもあるし、丸いハンドルのものもあります。 車に詳しい人は、様々な興味深い違いを見つけては喜んでいます。 日本で販売しなくなってからも、タイでは、修理の必要性から技術が発達し、今では独自に進化して、世界に販売するようになっています。 ラオスでは、タイ製のトゥクトゥクだけでなく、オートバイの前半分の後ろに荷台を合体した三輪車も見受けられます。 2011年3月にタンザニアに行った時、現地の人に、トゥクトゥクの由来を聞いてみました。 エンジン音がトゥクトゥクトゥクトゥクと聞こえるから、という返事が返ってきました。【Bon app?tit !】 Bin Laden Killed in Pakistan by US Forces On Sunday, US President Barack Obama announced that US forces had killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. 町中を歩く象
象の親子↑（2010年1月26日、ナコーンラチャシマ、タイ） ラオスは、かってランサーン王国と呼ばれていました。 ランサーンとは、ラオス語で「百万頭の象」と言う意味です。 ラオス内にそれほどたくさんいた象ですが、今は、ヴィエンチャンで象を見ることはありません。 ラオスのお隣の国タイはと言うと…。 今は、2010年1月26日。 タイ東北部の入り口ナコーンラチャシマにいます。 夜、街を歩いていたら、象に出会いました。 町中を普通に歩いています。 象の黒い体が夜の暗がりの中に溶け込んでいるため、突然目の前に現れ、驚きました。 親子連れの象が立ち止まっています。 象のオーナーはどこにいるのでしょう、見当たりません。【Bon app?tit !】 今日の執刀医は二日酔い Common sense and legal statutes dictate that surgeons may not operate while under the influence of alcohol, however, there are no rules prohibiting or limiting their alcohol intake the day before they perform surgery.
