Fairfax County Public Schools’ recent comprehensive boundary review was initiated by the Fairfax County School Board with their update to Boundary Policy 8130 in July 2024. The board approved boundary changes in January 2026. At the end of the comprehensive boundary review, the superintendent identified sites for additional community engagement and input, with recommendations to be provided to the School Board by January 2027. Study #3 covers the middle and high schools that Bren Mar Park Elementary School students will attend or “feed” into.
Previous Scenarios from Comprehensive Boundary Review
The first three scenarios were cumulative and built upon each other. Scenario 4 modified Scenario 3, based on community and committee feedback. The changes proposed in Scenario 2 would also address the capacity deficit (more students than space allows) at Edison High School.
FCPS is committed to providing opportunities for robust community engagement during the Bren Mar Park Elementary School feeder schools boundary study. It is also required by Boundary Policy 8130 and the Code of Virginia .
