当館より車で約5分の天城・市山明徳寺さんで8月29日に明徳寺東司まつりが開催されます。不浄を清浄にする烏瑟沙摩明王（うすさまみょうおう）をお祀りする古刹です。シモの病気を心配する中高年の方のお参りでにぎわいます。ご神体が鎮座する便所に跨ぎお祈りする「おまたぎ」、自然木の男女性器を撫でる「おさすり」は、年老いても下の世話にならないようにと健康と幸福を祈ります。境内はごく普通のお寺なのですが、トイレの横に、もうひとつのトイレ「東司」があり、ここは同寺のご神体が祀られている神聖なるトイレです。当熱川温泉から車で約1時間です

8月10日～萬城の滝祭りが開催されます

熱川温泉からお車で約8分の大川温泉の向田川で、大川アマゴのつかみどり大会が開催されます。毎年恒例で大川温泉おおかわ川の青柳橋下をせき止めて、そこに川魚の女王アマゴなどの魚を放流し、つかみどりを楽しみます。捕まえた魚は、その場でバーベキューにして食べられます。参加対象は中学生まで。小学2年生以下は保護者同伴となります。■とき：2014年8月3日(日)■対象：中学生以下■時間：午前10時～■場所：大川向田川青柳橋下■参加費：100円（保険代）■お問い合わせ：東伊豆町観光協会 TEL：0557-95-0700冷たい清流の向田川で大きなアマゴを追えば、暑さを忘れてお子様のためのいい思い出作りになります。

8月4日（月）伊豆長岡温泉で戦国花火大会が開催されます
