５月１６（金）、１７（土）、１８（日）日下田で黒船祭りが開催されます。第75回黒船祭パンフレット PDF 時は嘉永７年（1854年今を遡ること約152年前）、もとは風待ち港だった下田に、ペリー提督率いる米国海軍が日米和親条約により来航。これにより鎖国政策に終止符が打たれ、近代日本の幕開けとなりました。その功績を後世に伝え、また国際親善に貢献するため、昭和９年に始まったのがこの「黒船祭」です。記念式典や墓前祭が厳かに行われる一方で、町内や海辺の会場では活気にあふれたイベントが目白押し。新緑の季節、なまこ壁や海兵隊の白と黒のコントラストが美しい、下田市最大のイベントにどうぞお越し下さい。 「へんしんコーナー」 5/17(土)～18(日)大正・昭和時代の着物を体験しませんか。一日着物に着替えて、黒船祭を楽しみましょう！100名分の着物を用意。スタッフが着付けをします。足袋やぞうり、小物まですべて用意してあります。料金：1日お一人1,000円（中学生以下500円）ご自分のお気に入りの着物をお持ちになると、５００円で着付けします！ プログラム第73回のものです
