Since the weather has cooled down a little, I decided to take a walk north of Jimbocho Station at lunchtime. My destination was the Okinawa soba specialty shop,Seii Shoten.
Their soki soba comes with a generous portion of pork, though I find the amount of noodles a bit on the small side. The soup is refined and full of dashi flavor, and customers are encouraged to season it to taste with the condiments provided. At 1,000 yen it isn’t exactly cheap, but considering how much meat is included, it feels acceptable.
Next time I’d like to try their signature “Seii Soba,” though I always hesitate when I see the price tag of over 1,300 yen for a bowl of Okinawa soba.
