This château, located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region, is known for producing casual white wines that pair well with seafood and similar dishes. Unusually for a Bordeaux wine, it features a screw cap. When poured into a glass, it shows a pale yellow with a hint of green.
The aroma includes white peach, lychee, citrus fruits, and herbs. The blend is said to be 58% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Ugni Blanc, 11% Sémillon, and 11% Colombard, but when tasted, it lacks the vividness of a 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Instead, it offers a gentle and well-balanced character that is quite pleasant.
It seems better suited to sautéed or meunière-style dishes rather than sashimi or carpaccio. In any case, considering the price is just over 1,000 yen, it is not bad at all and certainly sufficient for everyday evening drinks.
