Kinshu-ki Judo Championship was closed yesterday with the victory of Kokushikan High School (for men' team) and Nanchiku HS (for women's team)　respectively.

The photos attached hereto show the article about judo teams of local high schools here in Chikuho Area in Fukuoka Pref. which joined this Championship this year. Kinshu-ki Judo Championship is one of the oldest and traditional judo championships for high schoolers in Japan. This championship started back in 1916. So, it is an over century-old judo championship.

Kin-shu-ki literally means Kin (Gold) Shu (Eagle) and Ki(Flag or Banner).

The artcle does not include Kaho-Higashi HS's judo team, simply because the judo team has been closed for months due to no wrestlers and no coaches there. This news is verrrry shocking to me.

This june I joined an event as a volunteer at Sun-Ability Iizuka
to help a sport event for the handicapped. At that time, I met and talked with a teacher who works at Kaho-Higashi HS and was leading her vonlunteer activity club members. She told me that the judo club is closed now due to the above reasons.

It is very sad to see no judo club as one of its OBs at my Kaho Higashi HS. Therefore, I have been thinking of re-establish the club again at the school.

There are so many students at Kaho-Higashi HS. A certain number of them graduated from Iizuka, the Second Junior HS where I have been a judo intstructor for years and I've had judo classes. So, such students know me well and, highly probably, they thought Ken's judo classes were lots of fun.

Therefore, I would like to start to invite them to the new judo club to re-create the club and take over the traditional thread of our judo club.
If I fail to do this, my direct goal is to move to London and start a new career there.
