神の手と思え、Think the work is done by God's hands.
一昨日の日曜日、病院の当直で一睡もできなかった。それで昨日は不意に眠くなったりして調子が悪かった。しかし昨夜はその前夜の睡眠不足を取り返すようにぐっすり眠れたので今日は調子が良かった。上部消化管内視鏡１０例、下部消化管内視鏡（大腸ファイバー）4例行った。胃カメラは6万件以上の経験があり、自信があったが、大腸カメラは苦手で,かなり難しく、しばしばダメージを受けてきた。本日は自分がするのではなく神がしているのだとイメージしてみることにした。それは大成功だった。もし貴方が何か難しいことをしようとするなら、その行いはあなた自身がするのでなく、神がしていると想念するとよい。神の手がしていると思えば成否は神にゆだねられ、失敗は少なくなる。Sunday ,the day before yesterday, I was duty in my hospital and couldn’tsleep anytime.And so I was not so good condition becoming sleepy in a moment yesterday.But I could sleep last night sufficiently recovering the lack of sleepingthe night before last night. So today was very nice condition, I managed 10upper gastro endoscopy and 4 colonic fiber. I was skillful for gastroendoscopy as having the experience over 60 thousands cases, but was not soskillful for colonic fiver. It is very difficult and I has been oftendamaged by the colonic endoscopy.Today, I tried to do this by imaging the work is done by God but myself. Itsucceeded greatly!! Why don’t you try to do some difficult works imagingthe work is done by God but yourself?If you think so, you could reduce mistake as the success or failure is onGod.

慰安婦問題に関して日韓の合意がなされたことを心より歓迎する。韓国のパククネ大統領、日本の安倍晋三首相ともこの問題を解決できるほどの偉大な人物ではないとみなされていたので解決は中々難しいと思っていた。2人のリーダーにアメリカが早く解決するように何度も促していたとは言え、この歴史的決定をした二人を心より称えたい。これより日韓の新しい時代が確実に始まる。 I welcome that the Japanese and Korean issue about comfort women was agreed. Ithought it would be very difficult as the Korea Pac Kune President and theJapan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe were not considered as great person to solvethe problem . Despite the United States often did prompt the two leader tosolve the problem, I respect the two Prime Ministers very much for thishistorical decision. It will begin hear a new era of Japan and South Koreato ensure.

年の瀬に思う, I think about my life at the end of year.
年の瀬に思う１日１日を懸命に生きてきたつもりだが一年を振り返ると至らないことが多かった。来年は今迄の日々の努力を続けながら体育も心掛けて行こうと思う。I think about this year at the year end moment. I have lived hard this year day by day, but I regret not so little.I plan to start for next year to build a healthy body too during continuing daily efforts as like this year.

明日は当直、羽生選手失敗、I am on duty tomorrow. Mr. Hanyu missed.
明日日曜日は当直である。月曜日の夕方まで家に帰れない。それで今はフィギアスケート日本選手権を観ている。羽生結弦選手がフリーの後半で失敗してとても悔しそうだった。あれだけの選手でも失敗することはある。我々のような凡人が失敗するのは当たり前のことである。I am on duty for my hospital tomorrow day and night. I can't come home until Monday evening. I am watching now Japan championship of figure skating. Figure skating player Mr. Hanyu missed in the part of later half in the free skating. He was chagrined very much at making the mistake. As that great player missed also, it is only natural that we ,little people miss.

偉大な女性が亡くなった。Giant woman has passed away.
私は約4カ月前にブログに進行大腸がんに罹っている女性患者さんについて書いた。進行がんですと彼女に告げた時、彼女は決して取り乱さず、がんへの挑戦について笑顔で話してくれた。私は心から彼女を尊敬した。数日前に娘さんが当院を訪ねてきてくれて、彼女が１１月に自宅でお亡くなりになられたことを教えてくれた。自宅で家族に囲まれて安らかに息を引き取った。80歳だった。偉大な女性は天国に行かれた。私は心からの祈りを捧げた。I wrote a blog about a female patient who had been suffered by advancedcolon cancer about 4 month ago. When I said to her that she had advancecancer, she was never upset and talked me about her challenge to the cancerwith smile.I respected her sincerely.Her daughter came to my hospital to tell me she died in November several days ago.She passed away peacefully at 80 years old in her house surrounding by allher family .Giant woman has gone, I prayed for her sincerely.

人を助けたいと思うなら・・、If you want to help someone,...
誰かを助けたいと思っても、才能や能力がなければ彼らを助けることは出来ない。力がないのに泥沼にはまった人を助けようとしても、自分も同じ泥沼に嵌ってしまうだけである。人を助けたいと思うなら、死にもの狂いで努力して力をつけるべきである。Even if you want to help someone, you can't help them without talent or ability. You may be same condition as the person in the trouble gotbogged in the marsh if you want to help him or her without power. If you want to help people, you should get the power in working frantically.

年賀状を書き終えました I finished to print the new year cards.
年賀状を昨夜と今日ほぼ丸一日かけて約500枚印刷した。それは大変な作業であった。プリンターは1回にそれほど沢山印刷できないので、何度も何度もはがきをプリンターに入れなければならなかったからである。今やっと終わったので、これから長嶋茂雄さんのインタビユーを観ようと思う。I printed new year cards abut 500 (480)last night and today all day.It was very hard work, I had to supply the postal cards many times becausethe printer couldn’t print so much at a time.I finished just now, I will watch the interview for Shigeo Nagashima fromnow on.

時代が独裁者を求めた Age demanded dictator.
ＮＨＫテレビで「時代は独裁者を求めた」を今観終わった所である。第一次大戦の敗戦で極貧状態にあったドイツに雇用を増やし目覚ましい経済発展をもたらし、戦争には勝ち続けるヒトラーは国民から圧倒的な支持を受けた。人々はヒトラーの言うとおりにしていれば間違いないと考えた。そして彼らは恐ろしいユダヤ人大虐殺をしてしまった。時代が独裁者を招いてしまったとはいえ、何千万という知性がたった一人の独裁者に勝てなかったのである。この現実に愕然とした。Ｉwatched now "Age demanded dictator" on NHK television. Increasing theemployment and making the remarkable economic development of Germany whichwas extremely poor after the defeat in first world war and winning the warcontinuously, Hitler was supported overwhelmingly by the nation. Peoplethought it is correct to obey the policy of Hitler. And they had done theterrible holocaust for Jewish person.Even the dictator was invited by era, many ten million intelligence couldn'tresist only one dictator.I was astonished to know the reality.

小澤征爾さんアメリカ名誉賞受賞 The first Japanese to receive the Kennedy Center Honors
アメリカの芸術と文化に対する貢献で日本の指揮者、小澤征爾さんが名誉賞を受賞した。ケネディセンター賞受賞の最初の日本人である。小澤さんはボストン交響楽団を29年間指揮してきた。アメリカ大統領オバマ氏は、「小澤さんは肘、指、膝、髪の毛など全身をバトンのように使って完全に記憶のみで情熱的で精密なパフォーマンスで指揮して聴衆を魅了してきた」と称賛した。（ＮＫＨニュースで英会話より）Japanese conductor Seiji Ozawa has been honored for his contribution to American arts and culture. He is the first Japanese to receive the Kennedy Center Honors. 患者さんが死んだ時の感情、 A feeling when a patient died.
85歳の男性患者さんが火曜日に急性呼吸不全で亡くなった。昨日まで元気だっただけに悲しみに暮れている。外来で約9年間診てきた人で、時々蕗を持ってきてくれたり、極度の難聴で大声で話す印象深い患者さんだった。そんなに早く死ぬとは思っていなかったのですごいショックを受けている。一方今日95歳の女性患者さんの家族と面談した。彼女は食事が食べらえなくて点滴で栄養していたがいよいよ点滴も入らなくなった。これからどうしましょうと家族に聞いたらもう十分生きたので何もしないでくださいとのことだった。このような場合には終末が来た時に本人も家族も医師も心が平安でいられる。人が死んだ時我々の感情は様々である。85 -years-old male patient with acute respiratory failure, lost on Tuesday.It impelled me sad thoughts because he was fine until the day before .I havelooked him about 9 years as an outpatient, he was very impressive person whobrought butterbur sometimes, talked loudly as being terrible hearing loss. Ihave received a big shock because I did not expect his death so fast.On the other hand, I had interview with the family of the 95 -years-oldfemale patient today. She has not eaten already , but has been administeredby drip infusion. But she could not inject finally recently. I asked thefamily how to treat the patient after she couldn't receive a drip infusion.They said" they don't want to do anything because she lived sufficient". Inthose cases, patients, families, and physicians are peace in mind when theend came. When the people die ,the feeling of us is different.

19歳女子学生急性アル中で死亡。19 female student died by acute alcoholism.
京都府立大の19歳の女子学生が昨日急性アルコール中毒で死亡した。今忘年会シーズンで日本全国至る所で急性アルコール中毒の患者さんがいっぱい発生しているであろう。先日の私の当直の時も2人のアル中患者を経験した。殆ど意識がなく嘔吐していた。点滴4本（２０００ｍｌ）したら朝までには意識が戻り友人が連れて帰った。大勢のアル中患者を扱ってきたのであまり重く考えていなかったが死亡例がでると恐ろしくなった。自分が飲み過ぎないように、そして友人にも飲ませ過ぎないように注意してもらいたい。19 years female student of Kyoto prefectural college died by acute alcoholism yesterday.There may be many patients everywhere in whole Japan in this yearend party season.I also experienced 2 cases of acute alcoholism who were almost unconscious and vomiting at my duty on the other day. After 2000ml drip infusion, they got back their conscious till morning and came home with their friends. As I have treated many acute alcoholism, I haven’t thought so severe, but after hearing those dead case, I became afraid. Please, don’t drink so much yourself and don’t give your friend a drink so much.

忘年会二つに続けて参加した。I had two year end party on end.
今我々の勤めている病院の忘年会から帰ってきたところである。約300人の職員が集まり、色々話し合って懇親した。今年一年の全ての親切にお互いに感謝しあい、来年もよろしくと挨拶した。私は昨晩も地域の自治会役員との忘年会に参加してきた。I came home now from year end party of our hospital. About 300 workers gathered and spent a social evening. We thanked to every kindnesses each other in this year and greeted as hello next year too.I had another year end party with community officer last night.

目指すところが大事 The aim for work or life is important.
今朝たまたまある看護師に「（昔当院にいたという）あの先生今頑張っているね、今の仕事があっているのかもしれないね」と言ったら彼女は「そうかもしれないけどあの先生と先生では目指すところが違いますよ」と言われた。彼女に彼、我の目指すところを見透かされていて驚いた。一般に人は生きるためや仕事するための目的を持っているが、それは目には見えない。しかし彼女には各人の目指すものが見えるのかも知れない。人は全て大なり小なり目指すものを持っている。アスリートはスポーツ大会やオリンピックで勝とうという目的を持っている。会社員は昇進や社会に尽くそうという目標を持っている。医者は患者さんに尽くすという目標を持っている。人はその人の目指すものによって評価される。私は最も堅固で壊れない目標は人のために心から尽くすという目標だと思っている。I chanced to say to a nurse this morning" That doctor is very active now, he might be suitable for the work he is concerned with now". She answered me" It may be, but the aim to strive for is different between he and you"I was surprised that we were seen through our object for work or for life by her.Generally person has the object to work or to live, but it is not visual.She may be able to see through the purpose of each persons.Every person has some objects to work or to live. Athletes may have an aim to win at sports meeting or Olympic.Office workers may have the purpose of promotion or contribution for society. Doctors may have a purpose to help patients. Human is estimated by ones purpose.I think the most stable and unbreakable end is to work for the other persons sincerely.

泣くな真央ちゃん！Don't cry Mao Asada!
浅田真央さんがバルセロナでのグランプリファイナルで、最下位の6位だった。彼女はいくつかのジャンプで失敗してしまった。彼女は1年間の休養の後カムバックしてきた。人生とは失敗はつきものである。立ち上がってくれることを心より願う。Mao Asada was ranked latest grade 6 at grand prix final seriesin Barserona. She missed several jumps. She came back after one year rest.It is the life that we have many defeats in our lives.I hope her sincerely to pick up herself.

リポビタンＤで生き返った。I was revived by Lipovitan D.
一人の医師が産休で休んでいるので、私の今日の外来はすごく混んで、患者さんは2-3時間待たなければならなかった。私は長い時間待って怒っているいるであろう人達の気持ちを考えて急がなければならなかったし、診察室に入ってきた患者さんには非常に長い時間待ってくれたのだから親切に対応しなければならず、プレッシャーと相反する感情で心底疲れてしまった。12時頃には疲れ切って検査や処方箋を電子カルテに入力するのに何度もミスってしまった。午後2時頃にやっと外来診療を終えることができた。それから昼食を食べ、病棟回診し、続いて超音波検査のレポートのチェックを始めた。しかし眠気とだるさで途中でそれが出来なくなってしまった。そこで院内の売店に行ってリポビタンＤを買って飲んだ。その後シャキッとして業務を続けることができた。こんな飲み物でも馬鹿にできないと思った。One doctor was on maternity leave, so today's clinic was very clouded.Patients had to wait for 2 to 3 hours. So I must hurry because they might beangry for waiting very long. At the same time, I must treat the patientskindly as they had been waiting so long.I was so tired because of the pressure and ambivalence. I often made amistake in entering the date of examination or prescription into thecomputer around noon.I finally finished the outpatient clinic about 2 pm. After lunch, I made myrounds in the ward and next checked the ultrasound reports.I could not continue reading the reports because I got drowsy and weak.I went to the convenience store inside the hospital to drink Lipovitan D . I was able to continue my business crisply after that.I think it is not so stupid after all.

成功したかったら言い訳をしてはならない。Never say excuse if you want to succeed.
人は物事が成就しないと、曰く、先生が悪いから、時間がなかったから、年を取りすぎているから、忙しすぎたからなどと言いがちである。もしあなたが成功を望むなら言い訳をしてはならない。いかなる逃げ道も遮断して貴方のベストを尽くすべきである。When people can't succeed, they tend to say "because it was bad teacher ""I had not sufficient time " "because I am too old" or "because I was toobusy ", etc. If you want to succeed ,you should not to say excuse. Youshould do only your own best without any escape route.

やっとストレスから抜けられた I was retrieved from stress.
今夜やっとピアノ曲旅愁から卒業できた。旅愁は秋の旅の意味である。この曲は夏から始めたが今夜までずっとＯＫを出してもらえなかった。妻は「もう冬なのにまだ秋の歌なの、いつ秋の歌から抜けられるの？」と言っていた。私の先生は非常に厳しい人で、私を一流のピアニストにしようとしているかのようだった。私のストレスは極限まで達していた。今やっとそのストレスから解放された。次は「いつも何度でも」に挑戦しようと思う。それは「千と千尋の神隠し」のテーマソングである。I graduated from the piano music "Ryosyu' tonight at long last. Ryosyu means a travel in autumn. I started this music from summer and never permitted to advance to next music until now.My wife has been saying "it is winter now, you are still autumn, when do youget away from autumn song?" My teacher is very strict, it looks like shemakes me a number one pianist. My stress has reached to the utmost limit. I was retrieved from severe stress now finally. I will challenge next music"Itsumo Nando demo", it is the theme song of "Sen to Chihiro no kamikakusi "

尿漏れ対策 Haw to heal the leaking urine?
年を取るにつれて多くの人が尿漏れや夜間頻尿に悩まされる。それに対して多くの薬が売り出されているが薬ではあまりよくならない。膀胱括約筋の衰えが主原因と言われている。運動で腰や下腹部の筋肉を鍛えることが重要だと思う。Becoming older, many people suffer from the leaking urine and frequenturination at night. 山梨大循環器科に感謝 I thank the section of circulation of Yamanashi Univ.
土曜日は当直だった。息苦しくて心臓がどきどきするという患者さんが来た。その人は横浜に住んでいる中国人でこちらに旅行にきた４０歳の男性であった。心電図をみて驚き死んでしまうのではないかと恐れた。１分間に２００以上の心拍数で急死する心室細動の心電図に似ていた。ドキッとしてしまいその心電図をファクスで山梨大循環器科に送った。それは真夜中の１時２０分だったが循環器科の医師がそれを受け取ってくれて、読影結果を親切に教えてくれた。それは心室細動ではなく心室頻脈でジギタリスとかワソランが効くと思うとのことだった。それらの薬剤を点滴したら脈が１分間に１２０位までさがり、状態が落ち着いてホテルに帰って行った。山梨大循環器科に心より感謝する。I was a duty at Saturday. A patient came to my hospital being suffered by dyspnea and palpitation.He is 40 years old traveler who came from Yokohama, native land is China.I was surprised and feared to die watching the Electrocardiogram. It was very high pitch as over 200 per minute and as like as ventricular fibrillation which cause sudden death. I was embarrassed and send the ECG to the circulation section of Yamanashi Univ. it was 1.20 AM, midnight, but a doctor of Yamanashi University received the ECG and taught me kindly. It might be a ventricular tachycardia but a ventricular fibrillation, digitalis or wasoran may be useful, he taught. I dripped those medicine.His rate grew down near 120/minute, and became good condition went back to his hotel. I thanked the section of circulation of Yamanashi University sincerely.

コンビニの終夜営業は店員が気の毒 The midnight workers of convenience store are pitiable.
私は今当直で明日の朝まで勤務である。夜は一人しか医師がいないので殆ど眠ることはできない。医師や看護師はいつ患者さんの容態が悪化するか分からないので、オールナイトで働くのはやむおえない。しかしコンビニエンスストアの店員さんは健康に良くないので真夜中に働くべきではない。何日か前に私は呼ばれて病院に行くために朝５時頃あるコンビニの前を通った。電気はこうこうとついていたがお客さんは誰もいなかった。夜間ドライバーには便利かもしれないが、利用する人はそれほど多くない。彼らは夜中になる前に前もって食料や飲料を準備することが出来る。真夜中にオープンする商売の利益は少ないと思う。私はお店のオーナーに利益はそれほど多くないのだから店員さんの健康のために２４時間営業は止めたほうがいいと言いたい。I am on duty today to tomorrow morning. I can hardly sleep tonight because I am only one doctor in the night. Doctor or nurse cannot help working all night, as the patients may go downhill in anytime.But the workers of convenience store should not work in the deep night, because it is not good for health. I passed by the front of a convenience store about 5 o’clock in the morning to go my hospital several days before. There was no guest in the store regardless of bright light. It is convenience for the night driver, but they are not so much to use. They can prepare food or drink before midnight. There may be not so much profits in the midnight business. I say to the owner of the store to stop the all night business for the health of worker as the profit is not so much.

寿命が分かる時代になったが自分は知りたくない。 I don't want to know my lifespan.
私は一昨日テレビで、テロメアについての説明を視聴した。今や我々はテロメアの長さや傷つき具合を測定できるようになったとのことである。テロメアの長さは通常各人の寿命を示す。それは老化と共に短くなる。テロメアが短くなると、各人の健康や寿命に影響を与えながら老化していく。テロメアが短くなると病気に罹り易くなったり、寿命が短くなったりする。テロメアが短くなる速度は生活習慣によって増えたり減ったりする。よい食習慣と運動はテロメアを短くしたり死滅するのを防ぐ大きな潜在力を持っている。そのことで病気の発病を遅らせたり寿命を伸ばしたりする。貴方はテロメアを測ってもらいたいですか？私は否です。なぜなら自分の寿命を知るよりそれを知らないで人生に挑戦することの方が重要だと思うからです。I watched the comments about the role of telomere on TV the day beforeyesterday. It showed us that we can examine our Telomere length and degreeof being injured now. Telomere length usually shows each person's lifespan. It shortens with age. Progressive shortening of telomeres leads tosenescence, affecting the health and lifespan of an individual. Shortertelomeres have been associated with increased incidence of diseases and poorsurvival. The rate of telomere shortening can be either increased ordecreased by specific lifestyle factors. Better choice of diet andactivities has great potential to reduce the rate of telomere shortening orat least prevent excessive telomere attrition, leading to delayed onset ofage-associated diseases and increased lifespan. Do you want to examine your telomere? I don't, because I think it is moreimportant to challenge than knowing my lifespan.
