Michael Burry ( Trades , Portfolio ) said he has exited his entire GameStop position (GME) and opened an outright short on Palantir (PLTR), while also expanding bearish bets across semiconductor and tech-linked names including Nvidia ( NASDAQ:NVDA ), Tesla ( NASDAQ:TSLA ), and Meta Platforms ( NASDAQ:META ).
He said the GameStop exit reflects concerns over leverage and acquisition assumptions tied to its eBay strategy, arguing the setup no longer aligns with his Instant Berkshire thesis, even as broader market momentum in NVDA, TSLA, and META continues to shape investor sentiment across high-growth tech.
Burry also disclosed a direct short position on PLTR, saying he views the valuation as stretched relative to fundamentals, sharpening a bearish stance on a stock that has been a major beneficiary of AI enthusiasm alongside NVDA, TSLA, and META-linked peers.
In addition, he added bearish exposure to semiconductor ETFs and the Nasdaq 100, reinforcing a defensive macro view as extended rallies in NVDA, TSLA, and META keep volatility risks elevated, with longer-dated options signaling caution into next year.
