M2i Global Inc (OTC:MTWO) , along with Volato Group (NYSEAMERICAN:SOAR), announced it has been awarded a Tenant Use Agreement by The Hawthorne Army Depot in Nevada to develop and operate a critical mineral repository, as the companies advance a proposed merger.
The Hawthorne Army Depot, located in Mineral County, is the world’s largest ammunition storage facility, spanning nearly 150,000 acres with more than 400 buildings and over 2,000 munitions bunkers.
According to the company, the site has long supported US defense logistics, including ammunition manufacturing during World War II and subsequent military operations, and continues to play a role in storage and demilitarization activities.
Under the agreement, M2i Global plans to establish a Critical Mineral Repository (CMR) at the depot. The project is intended to support the storage, processing, and distribution of minerals and metals considered essential to defense, clean energy, and industrial supply chains, including gallium, graphite, and copper.
The facility is designed to integrate storage, refining, and distribution functions, while also incorporating supply chain traceability, recycling, and sourcing initiatives.
“This is a platform-based approach to securing minerals and metals by combining secure storage and logistics, refining and recycling, ethical sourcing and traceability and workforce development,” M2i Global CEO Major General Alberto Rosende said in a statement.
“The project will revitalize the Hawthorne region, create high-quality jobs, and bring investment to support national security through a localized, efficient supply chain at a federally controlled site with access to rail and intermodal infrastructure.
Tom Burns, executive director of the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), said the initiative could help drive investment and innovation in the state’s critical minerals sector, noting Nevada’s resource base and its role in national supply chains.
“We welcome M2i Global’s long-term investment in the state and its people. Nevada has an abundance in critical minerals and this project presents an opportunity to drive innovation and economic opportunities across our state and beyond,” Burns said.
