Strategy Inc. ( NASDAQ:MSTR ) continues to accumulate Bitcoin ( BTC-USD ), though the tempo is beginning to ease after an intense stretch of buying earlier in the month. The company disclosed that it purchased $255 million of Bitcoin over the seven days ended April 27, adding 3,273 coins in the latest period. This follows a significantly larger $3.5 billion deployment across the prior two weeks, suggesting the pace of capital allocation could be moderating. The latest purchases were funded through common stock sales, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, reinforcing the company's reliance on equity markets to support its digital asset strategy.

Even with the slower weekly cadence, April still stands out as a high-water mark for accumulation. Strategy has acquired about $4.1 billion of Bitcoin during the month, the largest such buildup in a year, based on company data compiled by Bloomberg. Earlier purchases were largely financed through its perpetual preferred shares, known as STRC, an instrument introduced by Michael Saylor to potentially position it as a primary funding source while easing concerns around dilution for common shareholders. The company now holds roughly $61 billion in Bitcoin, maintaining its position as the largest corporate holder and remaining a central force behind the recent recovery in the crypto market.

That recovery has been supported by improving demand dynamics, including increased interest in exchange-traded funds tied to Bitcoin. The cryptocurrency reached a 12-week high of $79,488 on Monday, indicating momentum could be building alongside institutional flows. At the same time, Strategy's shares have declined about 54% over the past year, underscoring a divergence that investors may be watching closely as the company continues to lean into its Bitcoin-focused strategy.
