What Happened?
Shares of software supply chain platform JFrog (NASDAQ:FROG) jumped 2.2% in the afternoon session after investors continued to buy the dip despite renewed geopolitical jitters as the U.S.-Iran ceasefire came under doubt following the seizure of the Iranian vessel Touska.
While the fragile peace remained in question ahead of the ceasefire deadline later in the week, the software sector rebounded from a harsh "valuation reset" catalysed by AI fears. High-growth names like Datadog and ServiceNow led the charge as markets continued to decouple from Middle Eastern energy volatility. This resilience reflected a growing conviction that enterprise software remains a core structural winner, regardless of short-term macro turbulence.
After the initial pop the shares cooled down to $45.53, up 3.2% from previous close.

What Is The Market Telling Us
JFrog’s shares are very volatile and have had 25 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move indicates the market considers this news meaningful but not something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business.
The previous big move we wrote about was 11 days ago when the stock dropped 8.5% oafter reports of a ceasefire breach in the Middle East spiked market volatility as fears grew that a fragile U.S.-Iran truce would unravel.
This tension was compounded by Anthropic’s launch of Managed Agents, autonomous AI systems that execute complex tasks. Traders were worried these would disrupt the traditional SaaS (Software as a Service) model, by replacing human-operated tools with more efficient AI workers. The sell-off intensified after short seller Michael Burry claimed (in a deleted social media post) Anthropic was "eating Palantir’s lunch." Burry’s comments highlighted the vulnerability of legacy platforms to Anthropic’s AI solutions.
JFrog is down 23.6% since the beginning of the year, and at $45.53 per share, it is trading 34% below its 52-week high of $68.98 from December 2025. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of JFrog’s shares 5 years ago would now be looking at only $953.45.
