いよいよ行楽の季節。秋吉台には日曜日になるとツーリングのバイク族やクラシックカーの軍団がやってくるという。もちろん暴走族はいない。みんな明るくて趣味のいい大人ばかり。クラシックカーの魅力について話が盛り上がった。単に観光地というだけでない秋吉台に来てみてはいかが。

１７日日曜日 柳井 花香遊柳井市の白壁通りで様々なイベントが行われ、大勢の人でにぎわった。雛花壇が各店に並べられ、地元の人たちは着物を着て祭りを盛り上げた。水戸黄門一行も登場。偶然にも中の一人は私の知り合いだった。

本日の写真
２月２８日で閉店わが町唯一の百貨店がついに閉店。言い方は悪いが「腐っても鯛」の老舗だった。平日は客数より店員数が多いという恐怖の百貨店だった。消えてしまうとわが町にはもう核となる店がない。それぞれの店は自己主張だけはしっかり言ってきただけに協力して町の活性化に貢献しようという意気込みは全くない。さて、このさきどうなるのだろう・・周辺部には人口比では日本一多い数のスーパーがひしめいている。
