美味しいワインと出会う旅

右岸も何が良いか迷いました。ボーセジュール・べコも良かったし、クリネも良かったし、レヴァンジルも捨てがたい。そんな中で毎年飲んでいて今年に入って非常に良くなって来たと言う事でトロタノワの97年を選びました。

右岸の新興カルトワインと比べると値段的にも安いと思います。1万円そこそこで買えるのですから。

ポムロールらしいトリュフの香りがあって、楽しめる一本です。飲み頃です。 

［1997］シャトー・トロタノワ【赤・フルボディ】

97のトロタノワです。好きなポムロールの一本です。97年はボルドーのお買い得ヴィンテージで9000円位で買えたのですが、15000円前後に上がって来ました。

作りも味もペトリュスに最も近いワインだと思います。古くはトロタノワがペトリュスよりも上のワインを作ったヴィンテージもあるそうですが、今はペトリュスの様な超長期熟成タイプではありません。

濃いガーネット色、香はトリュフ、土、腐葉土、ドライプラム、スパイス、血液、の香りです。熟成段階に入って来たのか、酔えるような香りです。

口に含むと滋味にあふれ、クリーミーでマイルドです。実に力強くてエレガントで濃密です。素晴らしいの一言でグイグイ飲んでしまって今日は若干二日酔いです。美味しくて危険なワインです。

1997年のトロタノワはクリスティアン・ムエックスにより厳選され、たった2500ケースになった。印象的な構成と凝縮味を持ったこのワインは、ヴィンテージ中で最も長命なワインのひとつになるだろう。濃いルビーから紫色で、黒トリュフ、プラム、プルーン、熟したチェリーの香りのノーズがにおい立つ。口に含むと、傑出した豊かさ、ゆったりとおおらかな口当たり、穏やかなタンニン、秀逸な輪郭（1997年ものに多く見られる特徴ではない）が現われてくる。若いうちに飲まなければならないワインで溢れ返った年に、これこそ本当の長期熟成型ワイン（ヴァン・ドゥ・ガルド）である。飲み頃予想：2004年から2015年　最終試飲月：98年3月

This wine is an atypically structured, rich, powerful wine for the vintage, with hard tannin in the finish. Ripe and medium-bodied, with surprising depth as well as copious quantities of plum, cherry, currant, truffle, herb, and earth aromas and flavors, this effort requires 2-3 years of cellaring, but it should age for 12-15+ years.

This wine boasts a dense ruby/purple color, and outstanding aromatics of black raspberries, cherries, minerals, and toast. In the mouth, it exhibits a fat mid-palate, medium to full body, good power, sweet tannin, low acidity, and excellent to outstanding ripeness. The finish goes on for over 30 seconds. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2020.

A strict selection by Christian Moueix resulted in only 2,500 cases of 1997 Trotanoy. An impressively built and concentrated effort, it will be one of the vintage's longest-lived wines. The color is dense ruby/purple, and the nose offers up scents of black truffles, plums, prunes, and ripe cherries. In the mouth, the wine reveals outstanding richness, a broad, expansive mouthfeel, moderate tannin, and excellent delineation (not a common characteristic of many 1997s). This is a true vin de garde in a year that produced a plethora of soft wines requiring early consumption. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2015.
